Alisha is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate, who thrives in helping others reach their fullest potential. She believes that counseling provides us with the opportunity to connect with and see our ideal self. Sometimes, we unknowingly have obstacles that prevent us from reaching our fullest potential and counseling can provide us with the opportunity to discover the barriers that may be holding us back, while obtaining a different perspective to the overall presenting problem.
Alisha is passionate about providing an open and supportive environment, allowing each person to be their authentic self without the fear of being judged or ridiculed. Alisha graduated from Touro University with her Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy. She has experience working in both private practice and community mental health settings. She has worked with children as young as 5, adolescents, young adults, adults, couples, and families. Alisha utilizes systematic therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and person-centered therapy. She has experience working with depression, anxiety, trauma, autism, low self-esteem, and much more.
Alisha understands that each client is different, so it is her goal to adapt to each client’s needs and preferences. It is Alisha's philosophy that we are all authors of our own lives, so if there is something you want to work on or change, let's rewrite the book together!
