Julie meets her clients with compassion, non-judgment and an invitation to share their unique, inner life. As a clinical social worker, Julie supports her clients in moving toward ease amidst life’s struggles. Working together may include uncovering resilience, exploring the emotional experience, and strengthening relationships.
Early in her career, Julie worked at a children’s hospital assisting families of children with chronic and life-threatening illness. Julie spent many years raising a family and teaching yoga before returning to her social work roots. As a clinician, Julie works from a humanistic approach. Her work incorporates mindfulness and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy techniques, and is informed by Internal Family Systems and Emotion Focused Therapy. Julie is an Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) practitioner in training.
Julie works with individuals 18+ who are experiencing concerns related to personal growth, depression, anxiety, relationships, self-esteem, trauma, grief and loss, stress and burnout, chronic pain and illness, and life transitions. Julie is LGBTQ+ and trans affirming.
