"Cleo is passionate about providing affirmative and trauma-informed therapy that honors the unique lived experience of every client."

Cleo is a licensed independent clinical social worker associate (LSWAIC) who practices therapy from a relational perspective. They hold a master’s in social work (MSW) from Washington University in Saint Louis and a bachelor’s degree from Brown University, where they studied Sociology, Philosophy, and Gender and Sexuality Studies.

Cleo works out of the Bothell office with individual clients aged 13 and older and couples, specializing in topics of neurodivergence, gender and sexuality exploration, and life transitions.

Cleo’s therapeutic approach is centered around co-creating a therapist/client relationship based on trust and understanding. They practice ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) and enjoy working with clients to identify and explore personal values and use these values to better understand and direct motivations. Their therapeutic process also includes aspects of narrative and existential therapy because they believe that the way we tell our stories holds significant meaning and directly impacts our present and future.

As a social worker, who has ample experience personally and professionally with Queer and sexually marginalized individuals, Cleo is passionate about providing affirmative and trauma-informed therapy that honors the unique lived experience of every client. They approach mental health challenges critically in the context of systems, bearing in mind the impacts of race, culture, class, gender, sexual and relationship orientation, disability, age, trauma history, and political context. Above all, Cleo believes in every human being’s limitless potential to thrive.
