Tyler takes a client-centered approach to therapy and believes strongly in the power of a growth mindset. He earned his BA in American and World History, along with a 5th–12th grade teaching certificate, from the University of Iowa, and his MS in School Counseling and Preventive Mental Health from Creighton University.
His work draws from a range of therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Narrative Therapy, Strengths-Based Therapy, Positive Psychology, Reality Testing, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and Trauma-Informed Therapy. Tyler tailors these approaches to meet each client’s unique needs and goals.
Creating a space where clients feel safe, respected, and truly heard is at the heart of Tyler’s work. He looks forward to supporting you as you explore challenges, build on your strengths, and work toward the goals that matter most to you.
