SESSIONS & FEES:

How Long Are Therapy Sessions?
Therapy sessions are based on a 50-55 minute hour. Intake sessions where we first meet and make our initial evaluations typically are 60 minutes long. An EMDR (eye movement desensitization and reprocessing) therapy session can be up to 90 minutes and follows a structured 8-phase protocol.
How Many Therapy Sessions Do I Need?
The frequency of therapy sessions is determined by your individual needs, schedule, and desired outcomes. Initially, therapy sessions are once a week for 50 minutes to establish rapport and address immediate concerns. Weekly sessions often remain commonplace. Clients adjusts to biweekly or monthly sessions with progress and stability. In cases of more severe issues, such as acute crises or severe depression, twice-weekly sessions may be required.

My Insurance Is Out-Of-Network. Do You Superbill?
Yes, we do not bill out-of-network benefits as it frequently results in increased financial burdens for clients and inconsistent payment practices for providers. However, if you have out-of-network benefits that you wish to utilize, we can provide an itemized statement that you may submit directly to your insurance company to request out-of-network reimbursement.

A superbill is a comprehensive, itemized receipt that details the services provided, any diagnoses, and relevant procedure codes. You submit this document to your insurance company. It includes the provider’s credentials, NPI number, and tax ID, effectively bridging the gap between the care provided and simplifying the insurance payment process for you to receive your out-of-network benefit payment.
